Advertising Policy

The International Journal of Event Management Research (“IJEMR”) is committed to maintaining editorial independence, academic integrity and transparency in all advertising arrangements.

1. Editorial Independence

Advertising, sponsorship or other commercial support does not influence editorial decisions, peer review, manuscript acceptance, publication timing or article content.

All editorial decisions are made independently by IJEMR’s editors and in accordance with the journal’s editorial policies and academic standards.

2. Separation of Advertising and Editorial Content

Advertisements must be clearly distinguishable from editorial content. Advertising material will not be presented in a way that could reasonably be mistaken for a research article, editorial decision, peer-reviewed content or journal endorsement.

Advertisers do not receive access to confidential manuscript, author, reviewer, reader or subscriber information.

3. Acceptable Advertising

IJEMR may consider advertisements relevant to its academic and professional audience, including:

  • academic publishers and books;

  • conferences, seminars and professional events;

  • universities, research institutions and educational programmes;

  • research tools, software and services; and

  • other products or services relevant to event management, tourism, hospitality, research or education.

Acceptance of an advertisement does not imply that IJEMR endorses the advertiser, its products, services or claims.

4. Prohibited Advertising

IJEMR will not accept advertisements that are unlawful, misleading, deceptive, discriminatory, offensive, defamatory, harmful, or inconsistent with the journal’s academic mission.

We may reject advertisements relating to:

  • plagiarism, academic misconduct or unethical research practices;

  • predatory publishing or misleading academic services;

  • illegal products or services;

  • political campaigning or content intended to influence editorial decisions;

  • gambling, adult content, tobacco, vaping, weapons or controlled substances; or

  • products, services or claims that cannot be reasonably substantiated.

5. Review and Removal

All advertising is subject to review and approval by IJEMR. We reserve the right to refuse, remove, suspend or amend any advertisement at our discretion, including where it conflicts with this policy, applicable law, technical requirements or the reputation of the journal.

6. Advertising Content and Responsibility

Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that their advertisements are accurate, lawful, appropriately licensed and do not infringe the rights of others.

Advertisers must not use IJEMR’s name, logo, article content or author information without prior written permission.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Advertising arrangements must not compromise user privacy. IJEMR does not provide advertisers with personally identifiable information about website visitors, authors, reviewers or readers without a lawful basis and appropriate notice or consent.

Any cookies, analytics or similar technologies used for advertising must comply with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Preferences policy.

8. Sponsored Content

Any sponsored content, sponsored announcements or paid promotional material will be clearly labelled. Sponsors will not control editorial content, reviewer selection, manuscript decisions or academic conclusions.
