Editors of the International Journal of Event Management Research (IJEMR) are responsible for maintaining the academic quality, integrity, and reputation of the journal. Editors must ensure that all submissions are handled fairly, confidentially, and in accordance with international publication ethics standards.
These guidelines outline the responsibilities and procedures for Editors-in-Chief, Associate Editors, and Section Editors.
Editors are responsible for:
Ensuring the quality and academic integrity of published content
Managing the peer review process
Making impartial publication decisions
Upholding ethical standards
Protecting the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts
Avoiding conflicts of interest
Editors must evaluate manuscripts solely on scholarly merit, without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs.
Upon submission, the assigned editor should:
Confirm that the manuscript fits the journal’s scope.
Check compliance with submission guidelines.
Conduct or verify plagiarism screening.
Evaluate basic methodological soundness and academic quality.
Manuscripts failing to meet basic standards may be desk-rejected with clear justification.
IJEMR follows a double-blind peer review process.
Editors must:
Select at least two qualified reviewers with relevant expertise
Avoid reviewer conflicts of interest
