The International Journal of Event Management Research (IJEMR) follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartiality, academic integrity, and high scholarly standards. Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.


Review Process

 

Step 1: Initial Editorial Screening

  • Scope alignment check

  • Formatting compliance

  • Ethical statement verification

  • Plagiarism screening

 

Manuscripts failing to meet basic requirements may be desk rejected.

 

Step 2: Reviewer Assignment

  • Minimum two independent expert reviewers

  • No conflict of interest

  • Subject expertise matching

 

Step 3: Review Evaluation Criteria

 

Reviewers evaluate:

  • Originality and contribution

  • Theoretical grounding

Copyright Ownership

 

Upon acceptance, authors will be required to sign a Copyright Transfer Agreement (CTA) or publishing license agreement.

 

Depending on journal policy:

  • Authors may transfer copyright to the journal/publisher

    OR

  • Authors may retain copyright under an open license.


Author Rights

 

Authors retain:

  • Moral rights to their work

  • The right to use content for teaching and academic purposes

  • The right to archive pre-print or post-print versions (as per journal policy)


Licensing (If Open Access)

 

Articles may be published under one of the following Creative Commons licenses:

  • CC BY (Attribution)

  • CC BY-NC (Attribution-NonCommercial)

  • CC BY-NC-ND (Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives)

 

The selected license will be clearly indicated on each published article.

4️⃣ Archiving & Digital Preservation Policy

 

Commitment to Preservation

 

IJEMR ensures long-term accessibility and preservation of published content through digital archiving systems.


Archiving Methods

 

The journal may utilize:

  • Institutional repository archiving

  • PKP PN (if using OJS)

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)

  • CLOCKSS

  • National digital libraries


Author Self-Archiving

 

Authors may archive:

  • Pre-print versions (before peer review)

  • Post-print versions (after peer review, before formatting)

  • Published version (as per license agreement)

 

Proper citation to the journal publication is required.


Permanent Identifiers

  • Each article is assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier)

  • DOI ensures permanent discoverability



5️⃣ Anti-Plagiarism Policy (Detailed)

 

Policy Statement

 

IJEMR has zero tolerance for plagiarism and unethical copying. All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software before peer review.


Definition of Plagiarism

 

Plagiarism includes:

  • Copying text without citation

  • Paraphrasing without acknowledgment

  • Self-plagiarism

  • Data fabrication

  • Image manipulation

  • Citation manipulation


Similarity Threshold

  • Minor similarity (references, common phrases) is acceptable

  • Excessive similarity may result in rejection

  • Significant overlap (> acceptable limit) will lead to investigation

Editorial Action
